Peperomia obtusifolia is also known as baby rubber plant, but it is unrelated to the rubber plant. The Peperomia Obtusifolia (or Peperomia Green) is characterized by its thick upright stems with glossy, oversized leaves. It stores water in its thick leaves, which shrivel in drought and plump when water is available.
